From the label:
You don’t have to take an arrow to the knee to enjoy the aquavit spiced brew. It will pillage your tastebuds with delicious fury.
This savage brew pours out a deep amber colour with a medium beige head. The nose is toffee, caramel, booze, and caraway from the akvavit. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with light carbonation. The palate is caramel, caraway, grain, and a touch of grassy hops, with a light spicy aftertaste.
I thought this was an interesting beer to include, as you see English strong and wee heavy ales all the time, so this was an interesting new twist with the addition of the akvavit. I don’t think this is actually a traditional style, but Odin would be proud of the experimentation.
