Moody Ales has released a new batch of its Intrepid Lemon Matcha Saison.
This spring seasonal is brewed with organic lemon matcha tea and is inspired by a recipe created by local Port Moody homebrewer Steve Sheldon.
I was lucky enough to try this year’s batch out at a tap takeover at Smiths pub in Victoria last week and it was delicious, with subtle lemon and matcha tea notes and a crisp, dry finish.
The beer will be available on tap in their Port Moody tasting room from March 1 and will be shipping out to select liquor stores next week.
Moody Ales is proud of our homebrewing roots – that’s why we regularly serve beers inspired by local homebrew recipes in our tasting room. When local homebrewer Steve Sheldon shared his Lemon Matcha Saison with us, we knew we had to share it with as many beer lovers as we could. Intrepid Matcha Saison is the result of this collaboration. Crisp, refreshing, earthy, spicy, unique – this beer is a celebration of homebrewed creativity.
