Steel & Oak Brewing has announced the release of Towers and Trains, the first of its single batch canned releases.
Named for the fact that there are so many towers and trains in New Westminster, this new beer is a West Coast style Earl Grey IPA.
The recipe was first formulated back in head brewer Eric Moutal’s homebrewing days. Various forms of it have been available on the test tap at S&O over the years, before having the recipe tweaked and an improved batch rebrewed. Now they have the recipe where they want it, they have decided to make it the first release in their new single batch can series.
The beer will be one of the releases featured at Victoria Beer Week’s Craft Beer Lift Off! event tomorrow and will also be on tap at Tangent Cafe in Vancouver as part of a Steel & Oak / Dageraad tap takeover.
It will then be released on Monday in the S&O tasting room with glasses, cans, and fills available. Cans will begin shipping to select private liquor stores next week.
