March 20: Pint + Paint at Faculty Brewing: Mixed Media
Faculty Brewing, Vancouver, BC; 19:30–21:30 PST
Faculty Brewing presents the first instalment of our new “Pint + Paint” series, a monthly art class where you get to drink craft beer and create a rad new piece of art for your home.
Taught by the wonderful Brooke, this class is a spin on the classic “painting” course. Rather than a generic landscape or beach scene, you’ll be creating a unique mixed media piece with ink and watercolour. Check out her instagram @brookemily__ (two underscores) to check out some of her work.
Your ticket includes all the supplies, a frame for your piece, and a stein of beer! (You can also have a glass of kombucha or a can of cider if beer’s not your thing).
The class has extremely limited space. Grab your ticket ASAP to avoid disappointment!
It’s going down on Monday, March 20th at 7:30pm. Please arrive 5 minutes early so we can get started on time.

We’re excited to announce our new collab-brew with Milano Coffee Roasters: the 599 COLD BREW ESB.
Being the new kids on the block, we’re thrilled to be working with one of the original brewers of the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood!
We are creating JUST ONE 50L keg incorporating our beer with Milano Coffee. We feel that the caramel and roasted notes in our ESB pair wonderfully with Milano’s Café M Cold Brew.
Milano’s founder and Master Roaster, Francesco Curatolo, brought his blending and roasting expertise to Vancouver in 1984. Since then, Brian Turko has taken over as Master Roaster, with his blends being hailed by coffee connoisseurs throughout the world and awarded multiple times by the International Institute of Coffee Tasters.
Join us from 5pm until the keg runs out! Our brewers, along with Milano’s staff and Master Roaster Brian Turko, will be here to chat about the collaboration.

March 26: Strange Day #27: Carnival
Strange Fellows Brewing, Vancouver, BC; 13:00–16:00 PST
Celebrated under many different guises worldwide, Carnival is a joyous and colourful celebration of life. On Sunday March 26th, Strange Fellows Brewing invites one and all to celebrate the Belgian Carnival tradition with music, food, and of course beer. Belgian crepes will be flipping, and East Vancouver’s own Carnival Band will liven things up as only they can.
Masked revelers will receive a Free Beer.
Amid bursts of confetti and music, the juggler entertains us with a handful of oranges. As the oranges rise and fall, the planets revolve in the universe, babies are born and the old pass on. Making that which is difficult look effortless and all of life’s worries seem insignificant, the juggler teaches us a simple lesson: To take pleasure in both the big & the small things in life.
Strange Fellows is an East Vancouver craft brewery inspired by tradition and creativity that celebrates the strange and extraordinary. We invite you to celebrate with us each month as we observe a different Strange Day, inspired by obscure superstitions and folklore from around the world.
The Carnival Band is East Vancouver’s own community-based ensemble of brass, woodwinds, drums, percussion, accordion, and voice. No matter what their influence – samba, calypso, swing, afro beat, jazz, funk, disco or traditional music – joy and celebration is at the heart of their super-fun performance.
So don a mask and join us for a festive afternoon of beer, Belgian crepes and music in celebration of both the big and the small things in life!
