Strathcona Beer Company in East Vancouver has released a new Rye ESB as their first limited-edition of 4-pack tall cans.
They say the beer has an abundance of well rounded malts with a touch of dark caramel flavour, a hop character that is moderate and balanced, and a crisp bitter finish.
Apparently this ESB was brewed as a tribute to Lord Strathcona’s British heritage, a man who left behind a legacy of charity and philanthropy that shaped many communities across Canada.
Cans are available today at the the brewery and will be delivered to select private liquor stores tomorrow. It is also available in the tasting room for jug fills and pints.
