May 2: Category 12 Tap Takeover
Malone’s, Vancouver BC; 17:00–20:00
We are excited to have Category 12 brewing join us for another great TAP TAKEOVER!
From 5pm Category 12 will be here to answer questions and give you a unique insight into their beers and brewery.
There will also be prizes for some lucky guests and live music by Tynan!
May 3: Strange Fellows Chicha Dinner w/ guest chef Tobias Grignon
Chicha Restaurant, Vancouver BC; 18:30–21:30
Join us for a five course dinner with Chicha chefs; Shelome Bouvette and Allison Flook and guest chef Tobias Grignon (Executive chef/ Owner of Rabbit’s Foot Supper Club, chef at Edible Canada and formerly executive chef of Mamie Taylor’s). All five courses paired with Strange Fellows Brewery.

May 3: BC Craft Cider Tap Takeover
Central City Brewpub Beatty, Vancouver BC; 17:00–23:00
On May 3rd, we will be hosting a BC Craft Cider Tap Takeover, featuring 12 taps from 12 unique craft cideries at Central City on Beatty, in support of BC Cider Week.
Admission is free. Drink tickets extra.
May 3: Howling Moon Craft Cider Dinner
The Cascade Room, Vancouver BC; 19:00–22:00
Howling Moon Craft Cider and The Cascade Room present a special 5 course tasting menu by Executive Chef Tim Evans, paired with cider from the Howling Moon Cider House in Oliver BC. Guests will sip and savour their way through an incredible dining experience and will learn all about BC craft cider. Howling Moon will be showcasing their Revival, Revolution, Rebellion, Serenity and a specialy crafted cider made just for our event.

May 4: Save the Beer Farms! Tap Takeover

Persephone is bringing the ‘Save the Beer Farms’ campaign to the capital! Join us, and our friends at The Drake for a night of great beers, petition signing, and a brief presentation on what’s at stake for farm-based breweries in the province under the current ALR regulations!

May 5: VI Brewing Presents: Cinco de Mayo at Yates Street Taphouse

Vancouver Island Brewing, and Surfrider Vancouver Island will be celebrating the start of summer on Friday, May 5th (5:00pm) at Yates Street Taphouse Bar&Grill’s official Cinco de Mayo Party!
Help us kickoff beach season with $6.25(+tax) 20oz pints of the new Juan de Fuca Cerveza, and a variety of awesome raffle prizes, including a custom VI Brewing Stand Up Paddle Board ($1,500 value). All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to Surfrider Vancouver Island’s beach cleanup program.
Raffle draws at 7:00pm, 9:00pm, and 11:00pm!

May 5: Tasting Room Day at the Market

Come down to the Market to sip and sample some of Victoria’s finest beers, wines, and ciders! All sampling items will be available for sale, so you can take home your favorites! The Market will also feature a variety of local artisans showcasing their items, and our permanent vendors will be open as usual to provide you with some of the best food in the city! This event is FREE to attend, and no tickets are required.

May 6: Fresh Hop Co-Op – Cutting Pickup Day
Red Arrow Brewing, Duncan, BC; 13:00–15:00
We are gearing up for our second annual Fresh Hop Co-Op! Join us on May 6th from 1-3PM to pick up your very own lovingly picked and potted hop cutting!! We are asking all you local craft beer enthusiasts to lend us a hand (especially your green thumbs) in growing the hops for our next batch of fresh hop beer! On pickup day we will provide you with a grower’s manual to help you to care for your plant while it grows until it comes time to harvest in September! Bring in your hops on brew day (to be determined) and reap some exclusive rewards! Any participants from last year– especially those who were on our wait list but did not end up getting a cutting– will get first priority on cutting pick-up day, but otherwise it will be first come first serve!
May 6: Fresh Hop Co-Op – Cutting Pickup Day
An afternoon of Snake Bites at Tod Creek Cider, BC; 13:00–15:00
ONLY 200 TICKETS!
Join us on Saturday, May 6th for an afternoon of craft cider and craft beer to celebrate BC Cider Week.
There will be four south island cider makers, and five south island breweries serving one-of-a-kind snake bite tastings, along with the regular fair. Mosi Bakery be on site making their own delicious handmade pizza in the wood fired oven.
Our goal is to raise $1000 for two great charities; Mustard Seed and Montessori special needs. Rain or shine, come spend some time in our apple orchard enjoying craft cider, craft beer, and combinations of the two!
We will be providing a shuttle service ($19 round trip to and from town), so you don’t have to drive to our rural Saanich location. Bus service is very limited as we are located just off West Saanich Rd. If the shuttle isn’t your thing, take your bike up the Interurban trail, catch a ride, or come with a designated driver please.
PICKUP LOCATION TO EVENT: Lido Waterfront Bistro (1234 Wharf St, down the stairs to the waterfront across from The Local) at 3:15 sharp!
Please meet in the parking lot at pickup time, Tyler Hadfield will be helping you. Feel free to head down to see our friends at Lido Waterfront Bistro before hand to enjoy a pint or a pizza (Tip: They have an awesome groupon deal right now!)
(Drop off at the orchard will be around 4pm and the event will continue until 7:30 pm)
DEPARTURE TIME FROM EVENT: The bus will pick up shuttle-goers at Tod Creek in the TOP parking lot at 7:45pm and drop you back off downtown at Lido.
Tickets are $20 and include admission , 4 drink tokens and a keepsake glass. Shuttle Ticket options can be found online with ticket purchase.
