Driftwood Releases 2017 Batch of Cry Me a River

Driftwood Beer in Victoria BC has released a fresh batch of their Cry Me a River gose.

Brewed in the tradition of the artisan brewers of Leipzig, this rare style of wheat beer is named after the Gose River whose slightly salty waters originally gave the beer its characteristic taste. This style went extinct twice in Germany but is today enjoying a revival in Leipzig and here in North America.

Cry Me a River is dry, tart, citrusy, and slightly salty, so is deliciously refreshing on a hot summer’s day. Think of it as alcoholic Gatorade. 🙂

You can find the beer in select liquor stores around BC today.

ABV: 5%
Malts: Wheat, Pilsner
Hops: Hallertauer
