Dageraad Brewing in Burnaby BC has announced the return of their Lake City Farmhouse Ale for the 2017 season.
Lake City Farmhouse is gently spiced and partially sour-mashed, lending a surprising depth of character to an otherwise light, crisp beer. Lake City Farmhouse is fermented with Belgian yeast and bottle conditioned for natural carbonation, and an extra layer of complexity.
Brewed in the tradition of the farmhouse ales of Wallonia, Lake City Farmhouse is seasoned with a blend of herbs and spices, and hopped with a lovely herbal, floral noble hop. The overall effect is said to produce a lovely herbal, grassy, floral aroma that will convince you for a second that you’re standing in the sunshine in a hayfield as a horse-drawn cart trundles past a hedgerow filled with wildflowers.
Lake City Farmhouse is now available by the bottle and on growler fill at Dageraad tasting room. Distribution to select liquor stores in BC and Alberta begins this week.
