Aug 22: Caskapalooza 2017

Salt Building, Vancouver, BC; 16:00–20:00

Caskapalooza is back for another year! Join us for a night of fun, socialising and sampling – featuring 35 unique casks. Tickets are $25 and include 12 sample token.

Partial proceeds will be donated to Dress for Success Vancouver, a charity that empowers local women into the workforce by providing professional attire, career coaching and a leadership program, enabling them to break the cycle of poverty.

Aug 23: AleSmith Meet and Greet

The Burrard Public House, Port Moody, BC; 19:00–23:45

The Guys from Alesmith came all the way from San Diego to brew some beers with Yellow Dog Brewing and we are hosting the celebrations.

This is a great opportunity for all beer lovers to come try some truly amazing beer and to talk with trailblazers in the brewing community.

We will have the famous Speedway Russian Imperial Stout and IPA available.

Aug 23: CAMRA Victoria Pretzel Making Party w/ Beer Themed Movie

Eagles Club, Esquimalt, BC; 19:30–21:00

Hello CAMRA Members and Craft Beer Enthusiasts.

We need your help. For the CAMRA booth at GCBF, we will be once again selling Pretzel Necklaces. Due to the overwhelming success of last years sales, we need to make more. Proceeds from the necklaces go to fund some of the CAMRA events.

We need volunteers to help make the necklaces. What would be a better way than having a party while making them.

On Wednesday, August 23, come help your executive make 800 necklaces for the Sept 8/9 event.

The necklaces are easy to make, and the exec will providing all the supplies.

While making the necklaces, we will be watching a fun beer themed movie (which will be voted on at the event). There may also be some goodies.

Beer will be available for purchase (cash only) at the bar.

If drinking, drink responsibly and plan for a safe ride home.

Aug 24: Rogue Tap Takeover

Moon Under Water, Victoria, BC; 17:00–23:00

Join us at Moon Under Water Brewpub for an eclectic and delicious line-up of Rogue Ales & Spirits beers, flip burgers, high fives and platonic back rubs!

This shin-dig kicks off at 5pm and goes until close, so swing by after work and get a little Rogue.

Aug 24: VI Brewing Tap Takeover

St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, BC; 17:00–23:00

On August 24, VI Brewing takes over the taps at St. Augustine’s Pub in Vancouver.

We’ll have our seasonal Juniper Lime Ale, based on the gimlet cocktail, and two exclusive brews from our small-batch system that you won’t be able to get anywhere else: Kingma Bock and Cooke’s CDA. In addition, we’ll be serving all the VI Brewing favourites, including:

Explore the world of BEER with the Thirsty Writer, Joe Wiebe. Once each month, Joe shares insights into a different style of beer with us. Taste through 8 beers in a friendly, relaxed environment, with a maximum of 14 guests per class. All beer fans welcome!

This month explore the hot beer seen on BC’s Sunshine Coast, with 4 beers each from Persephone Brewing (Gibsons) and Townsite Brewing (Powell River).

Aug 26: Steveston Beer Fest

Gulf of Georgia Cannery, Steveston, BC; 19:00–21:30

O’Hare’s GastroPub and Liquor Store is pleased to announce the fifth annual Steveston Beer Fest to be held at the historic Gulf of Georgia Cannery in Steveston, British Columbia on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Part proceeds from this event will support the Richmond Christmas Fund and other local non profit groups. The Beer Fest will host approximately forty booths and will showcase craft beer from British Columbia, the United States and other countries from around the world. This event is intended to entice those that are new to craft beer as well as the experienced palate.
