Twin Sails Brewing in Port Moody BC releases two beers today: the second batch of Con Leche and a tasting room-only release called Beach Week.
Con Leche—Horchata milk stout
This stout pours dark black with a thick creamy mocha head. Oats and lactose provide a silky rich mouthfeel which is balanced by strong aromatics of coffee delivered by over 110 lbs of coffee beans. To finish, the beer is conditioned on cinnamon and vanilla beans, which provide a unique spicy character that pairs perfectly with the strong coffee and chocolate flavours of the stout.
There will be 41 cases available at the tasting room with a one case per person max. It is available for fills, with a limit of two per person.
It will begin hitting stores next week.
7.3% ABV / 18 IBU
Beach Week—Double IPA
Hopped with mostly El Dorado plus a small amount of Citra and Mosaic, this beer is described as being a straight Tropicana juice bomb. Two massive dry hops give this beer a huge hop forward aroma and flavour with big notes of pineapple, mango, and citrus. They say that if a pineapple, a mango, and a beer had a baby, this is the hop chowdery spawn they would create.
This is a tasting room-only release, with 76 cases available. There is a one case per person max. It is available for growler fills today only, with a limit of two per person.
