Coalesce Brewing in Port Moody BC is set to release two fruited variants of their Foreword barrel-aged mixed fermentation ale.
Cherry Foreword is Foreword refermented in the barrel with 180g/L of organic whole Danube cherries from Harvey’s Orchards in Cawston, BC. This beer spent 6 weeks on fruit and a total of 18 weeks in oak, before being refermented naturally in the bottle.
Apricot Foreword is Foreword refermented in the barrel with 180g/L of whole organic Apricots from Sapo Bravo Organics in the Fraser Valley. This beer spent 8 weeks on fruit, a total of 24 weeks in oak, before being refermented naturally in the bottle.
The fruiting rates for both these beers are intentionally moderate to allow the harmonious expression of both the base beer and fruit without either dominating the beer.
Both variants will go on sale on November 12 at 12pm at the Twin Sails tasting room. Being that these beers are single barrel releases we have a very limited amount of each. There will be 25 cases of each beer for sale, 12$ per bottle with a 3 bottle per person limit per variant.
