Genever is a gin saison. They brewed this beer with European hops and spices commonly used in gin. A portion of the beer was then aged red wine barrels that were pre-soaked with gin from Odd Society Spirits. They then assembled a team of refined palates to carefully select their final blend of clean and barrel-aged beer. They say that the result is like a lovely gin that also happens to be a saison.
You can get a sneak peak of Genever on Friday night at the Farmhouse Fest welcoming party at Tangent Cafe on Friday night, or you can wait until Farmhouse Fest, where it will be pouring at the Dageraad booth and available in bottles at the onsite store. There will also be a raffle for a limited number of 1.5L magnums of the beer.
The release of Genever is pretty limited, but it will be getting out to select bars and restaurants, and a relatively small number of bottles will be distributed to stores. And of course, it’ll be available at Dageraad.
