Howe Sounds Brewing has announced the imminent re-release of their King Heffe summer seasonal.
Bottles should be hitting liquor stores over the next couple of week, but make sure to check the date stamp, as I’ve seen a few bottles of last year’s release on shelves recently.
Squamish, BC – Howe Sound Brewing Co’s top summer seasonal has been released early. It’s our way of inspiring winter’s end, and coaxing the sun to come out.
BEER NOTES: 7.7% ABV | 25 IBUs | 127571 SKU
Description – Brewed with Pale and Munich malted barley, white wheat and a German hefe yeast that gives a unique banana, clove and vanilla aroma. This high gravity hefeweizen is a nice cloudy orange-yellow with spectacular head and traces of lacing here and there.
“Our Heffe has good carbonation and body, and even with its high gravity, remains smooth and refreshing to drink. It’s a great brew for summer sipping!”
— says Simon Jongsma, head brewer.
Beer Advocate Rating – 89
Awards – Howe Sound has been brewing “King Heffy” since 2010, and since then has won a double gold in the North American Brewing Awards; Gold in the Canadian Brewing Awards; and Silver in the BC Beer Awards.
Food Pairing – A classic summer ale, it is commonly served with a wedge of lemon. This beer works well with pastas, mild cheeses, grilled vegetables and light chicken and pork dishes.
King Heffy Imperial Hefeweizen is now a favourite among beer lovers. It comes in a 1L bottle which is perfect for sharing, but trust us, it’s a beer you will want all to yourself.
